I started Level Two Chimney Co. in 2009 after watching too many homeowners in Pierce County get a verbal “ballpark” that somehow tripled once the tech was already on the roof. That doesn’t happen here. Haven Standard Clause 1 means you get a written price, a written scope, and a written warranty before anyone touches your chimney - not after. I’ve personally inspected north of 4,000 flues in the Puyallup area, and I still catch things that surprise me. Last month in Midland, I opened a cleanout and found a flue liner that looked exactly like what happens when someone burns green wood for three winters running: glazed Class III creosote, honeycombed and ready to ignite. Marcus runs our NFPA 211 Level 2 inspections and has been climbing roofs in the Puget Sound region for fourteen years. Elena joined us in 2023 after completing the HVAC program at Bates Technical College and deciding she preferred working outside on real structures instead of crawling through crawlspaces. She’s building her sweep and inspection hours toward CSIA certification under Marcus’s mentorship and already handles most standard cleanings and basic cap installations solo. Elena grew up in Bonney Lake burning wood through every winter, so she understands from the homeowner’s side why you want to know exactly what we found and whether it’s actually dangerous or just needs watching. Her current project: learning to read chimney cameras in real time without missing the secondary cracks that show up three feet up the flue where the liner shifts. She’s sharp. She’ll get there.
